2012-13 NOTES Montana State University Billings’ men’s basketball returns to the court after an incredible end to the 2011-12 season. The Yellowjackets welcome just four student-athletes from last year’s run to the GNAC Tournament title and NCAA Div. II West Regional Tournament berth. Eleven new faces scatter this season’s roster, and will lead MSUB in a trip to Hawaii and the ever-difficult Great Northwest Athletic Conference schedule. SEASON OUTLOOK FROM COACH STEVENS It’s going to be an interesting year with only four guys back from last season. We have 11 new guys, so there’s going to be some growing pains early in the season. I think we have one of the most challenging schedules in Div. II. We play in one of the toughest conferences out there, so that’s going to be a challenge for our guys. But, I think it’s going to be good for us. THIS IS MSUB MEN’S BASKETBALL • Montana State Billings’ 2011-12 GNAC Tournament title was a first in program history. • The Yellowjackets crossed the 1,000-win all-time plateau with the win in the 2011-12 GNAC Semifinals. • MSUB has an all-time record of 1001-872, a winning percentage of .534. • Head Coach Jamie Stevens won the GNAC Tournament title in his first season. • MSU Billings has posted winning seasons in two of the past three years. • The 2012-13 season will be the 82nd season of Yellowjacket men’s basketball. • Stevens can move into the school’s top 10 in total wins by a head coach this season. • Stevens’ 805 assists tops the school career record by 348 assists over the second-most total.

SEASON OUTLOOK FROM COACH STEVENS It’s going to be an interesting year with only four guys back from last season. We have 11 new guys, so there’s going to be some growing pains early in the season. I think we have one of the most challenging schedules in Div. II. We play in one of the toughest conferences out there, so that’s going to be a challenge for our guys. But, I think it’s going to be good for us. THIS IS MSUB MEN’S BASKETBALL • Montana State Billings’ 2011-12 GNAC Tournament title was a first in program history. • The Yellowjackets crossed the 1,000-win all-time plateau with the win in the 2011-12 GNAC Semifinals. • MSUB has an all-time record of 1001-872, a winning percentage of .534. • Head Coach Jamie Stevens won the GNAC Tournament title in his first season. • MSU Billings has posted winning seasons in two of the past three years. • The 2012-13 season will be the 82nd season of Yellowjacket men’s basketball. • Stevens can move into the school’s top 10 in total wins by a head coach this season. • Stevens’ 805 assists tops the school career record by 348 assists over the second-most total.
