First thing to decide is what size and style of quilt you would like to finish up with. a. Scrappy i. Sort your scraps into light, medium, and dark. Decide whether you want your “pop” to be light or dark and be sure the background is the opposite. Use your mediums for the medium. I would not use a focus fabric if making this version. Just use additional of your “pop” fabrics. b. Non-Scrappy i. You will need to pick either 3 or 4 different fabrics for this quilt: a focus fabric ( or you can you more of your “pop”), a fabric that “pops”, a medium and a background. c. Controlled Scrappy i. Very similar to the one above except use several different fabrics for each category. For example if you choose red for your “pop” color, choose several different reds and if purple is your medium, use several different purples…

[email protected] Updated Full Pattern Clue #1 Place a Color #3 rectangle vertically in front of you. Place a Color #2 square over the top half of the rectangle. Make sure if you drew a line vertically that it goes from top left to bottom right. Sew corner to corner or right on top of the line. Flip and press the square toward the center. Trim the back two layers if desired.

Make sure it goes corner to corner, edge to edge. Sew directly on the line or in the middle of the square. Flip and press toward the corner.

[email protected] Updated Full Pattern Clue #3 Non-Scrappy Sew a color #2 strip to a color #3 strip. Press toward color #3. Cross cut into 2 1/2" segments. Scrappy Sew a color #2 square to a color #3 square. Press toward color #3.

You will stitch corner to corner. It is best to draw a line on the square so your stitches will be straight. Flip and Press after you stitch. If you wish trim the back layers.
