New Consultant Training Session 1 Meeting Date: __________________________________________________________________________________ (within two days of enrolment) Get your new Consultant a New Consultant Start-Up Guide (NCSG). A NCSG will arrive in your new Consultant’s Starter Kit; however, they need important information before it arrives. Give them a hard copy, or help them download it from their Workstation. Read the Scentsy mission statement on page 1 of the NCSG together, and share your thoughts about what it means to you. Help new Consultant log in to their Workstation and set up their Personal Website (PWS) so they can start selling right away. Explore the Workstation. Show Resource Library. See pages 2-3 in the NCSG for instructions. Make sure new Consultant complies with the policy not to use ‘Scentsy’ in their URL extension or new email address. Show Scentsy Success on Workstation. Inform new Consultant of team meetings and calls. Encourage them to participate. It is a good idea to have this information posted on a team website. Help your new Consultant access your team site. Get your new Consultant the Consultant Survey, Getting to Know You, and My Recognition Love Language handouts to fill out and return to you. Tell the new Consultant you would like these back within a week. Review pages 13-18 of NCSG on Awards and Recognition. Set goals and record dates. Make sure you explain the Shooting Star and Scentsational Star Awards. Confirm your new Consultant understands the 5% bonus for selling 2,000 or more in PRV per month. Discuss shadowing and choose dates your new Consultant will shadow two parties. Give new Consultant a copy of Shadowing Guide for New Consultants to use. If your new Consultant is unavailable, discuss strategies for learning how to do parties without shadowing. Discuss the different ways to do a Scentsy party. Share ideas for table displays at parties. See pictures posted on the Scentsy Forum for ideas. Review page 11 of the NCSG on Host Rewards. Discuss Host packet and Host Rewards. Remind your new Consultant about the Consultant Survey, Getting to Know You, and My Recognition Love Language forms if they haven’t turned them in. These are handouts given or sent to new Consultant prior to first call. New Consultant’s homework (to be completed by next session): 1. Make five Host packets as soon as their Starter Kit arrives. Host packet contents are listed on page 11 of NCSG. 2. Schedule five parties including launch party. Send out launch party invitations. Launch party to be held within the next month. 3.  Read Policies and Procedures. Study the Compensation Plan on pages 19-23 of NCSG. Discuss how to promote to next level. 4.  Develop a list of questions for your next conversation. Make sure they have invited everyone they can think of to their launch party. Review progress toward Shooting Star and Scentsational Start. Be sure to celebrate any early success. Remind your new Consultant about the Consultant Survey, Getting to Know You, and My Recognition Love Language forms if they haven’t turned them in. Discuss the Compensation Plan. First, review Terms and Definitions on page 23. Second, review Title Advancement Consultant Levels on pages 19-21. Finally, discuss the Compensation Plan chart on page 22 and answer any questions. Collect the Consultant Survey, Getting to Know You, and My Recognition Love Language forms if new Consultant has not turned them in. Keep this in a file for each new Consultant. Spend time reviewing Important Information (pages 24-30), Frequently Asked Questions (pages 28-30), and Top Policies (pages 31-32) of the NCSG. Confirm your new Consultant is having fun!
