TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

SHAILAH WILLIAMS • Rowan University Senior • Pemberton, NJ/Pemberton Twp.

Williams picks up her third - and Rowan’s fourth overall - NJAC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award. She competed in four events at the Molloy College Invitational, posting NJACbest marks in all four events. Her 60m dash time of 7.66 seconds was not only best in the NJAC this season, but is the second-best time in all of NCAA Division III and set a new Rowan program record. She clocked a 25.75 in the 200m, which ranks 12th nationally. Her 400m time of 58.46 ranks 19th nationally. Her high jump of 1.60m is also best in the NJAC this year. Williams also hit the ECAC qualifying marks in all four events.

FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

JESSICA PIERNO • St. Joseph’s College (LI) Junior • East Patchogue, NY/Bellport

Pierno earns her first NJAC Field Athlete of the Week award after a pair of strong performances at the Molloy College Invitational. She became the second long jumper in SJCLI program history to break the five-meter mark, hitting a school-record 5.06m. That mark is seventh among NJAC long jumpers this season. She also set a new school mark in the triple jump with a jump of 10.32m, which is also seventh in the NJAC this season.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK

KATHLEEN JAEGER • The College of New Jersey Freshman • Whitehouse Station, NJ/Hunterdon Central Jaeger earns her first and TCNJ’s fourth NJAC Rookie of the Week honor after a strong 800m run at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational. Her converted time of 2:17.47 marks the best 800m time in the NJAC this season. That time also ranks her 26th in the nation and third among Division III rookies.
