Dear Parents and Carers,
Weekly attendance awards Congratulations to class RB & 4E who had 100 % attendance last week. Classes that have the highest overall attendance at the end of each term will have a ‘mufti’ day. Class 3H are currently in the lead with 99.29%, followed very closely by 4E with 99.13% School Nurse Our School Nurse, Catherine Evans, will be in school next on Monday between 9.30 - 10am. If you wish to leave a message for her, you can do so at the school office.
Radicalisation and Extremism All staff working in School have a legal duty to guard against radicalisation and extremism following the implementation of the Government’s Prevent strategy. We will be holding an information session for parents after half term where we will share our responsibilities and how we address them. Domestic Abuse Do you know or suspect someone who is suffering from Domestic Abuse, also known as Domestic Violence? Help them seek help from their doctor or the following helpline numbers: For women: 0808 2000 247 For men: 0808 801 0327 or 01823 334 244

Bags2School Clothing Collection
Our next Home & School Association meeting is the AGM which takes place on Monday 10th October at 7pm in The Lawnswood Pub. We would welcome new members to join our already established team. Please come along and see what exciting events are planned and share any ideas you have.
Bags will be collected on Wednesday. Please support us in raising funds by filling bags with unwanted clothing. Fundraising Thank you to everyone who sponsored or helped sponsor our children for the fundraising events they have taken part in this week. Please can we ask you to help collect the sponsorship money and send it into School by next Friday, 14th October. We will let you know how much we have raised before half term. Have you signed up yet? If you haven't yet signed up with easyfundraising.org.uk please do so as soon as possible. Please encourage anyone you know to do the same and support us by collecting free donations every time they shop online. We currently have 13 supporters and 4 of those supporters have so far raised £5.99 in just 1 0 days!
Breakfast Club & FAB Price Increases From Monday 31st October 2016, the price of both Breakfast Club and FAB will rise by 50p to £3.00 and £7.00 respectively. In addition, Breakfast Club will open 15 minutes earlier from 7:45. Children arriving between 7:45 and 8am will be charged at £4.00 each and need to be booked in advance. Children booked in for the 8am session will not be accepted until 8am as there will not be enough staff in place to maintain adult to child ratios until this time. Lett’s Publications We are continuing to take orders for the Lett’s Maths and English publications. Please pop in to the office if you need a new order form or would like to have a look at the books before you decide which ones to order. Publications are available at a discounted price up to 50% less than the RRP.

We have teamed up with ‘The Card Gallery’ to provide printed stick-on and iron-on clothing labels and other personalised products for our pupils. By visiting their website

School Bank In partnership with HSBC our School Bank is available to children in Years 3 to 6, who wish to open their own bank account. The school sub-branch opens fortnightly for children to make deposits. Our next opening is Monday 10th October. For future opening times please see the posters on the main gate and front door.

Applicants must be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, or equivalent, and hold an enhanced DBS clearance. Application forms and information packs are available from nursery. Closing date for applications is 11am on Thursday 3rd November 2016.
