For many Monday is a slow day, but not here at the Lyme School. This year we are hosting three different after-school activities: Jess Lahey’s Latin Program, the 5th grade Spanish Program led by our own Mr. Harkins and coming soon: the return of the Community Strings program! So if you are interested in learning Latin (There are parents who are studying with the kids), practicing your spanish or learning to play the violin join us on Mondays right after school and enjoy.

SCHOOL YEAR

Despite an inability to pick apples the K Kids had a great time at Windy Ridge Farm & Orchards as evidenced by all the great stories and the Thank you notes (above) they sent to the owners. It appears that the cow train was a big hit. Mooove over Lionel trains! (I apologize for that last pun)

Spirit Flags Students hiking Grant Brook Trail during last weeks Double Activity - Walk and Talk

Richmond Middle School will be showing the movie Temple Grandin Tuesday October 5 at 6 pm in the Richmond Middle School auditorium Hanover, NH. Called “extraordinary” (TV Guide), “fascinating” (Entertainment Weekly) and “brilliant” (The Denver Post), To try to help viewers understand autism, the visually inventive film goes beyond Grandin’s words, taking audiences inside her mind via a series of snapshot images that trace her selfperceptions, allowing insight into how an autistic person processes the world around them. Temple Grandin is based on the books Emergence by Grandin and Margaret Scariano and Thinking in Pictures by Grandin.
