PCE’S Parent Consultation Evenings will be taking place on Tuesday 18th and Thursday 20th October. Our signing-up process will begin next Monday, 10th October, from 2:45pm. All class lists will be available in the hall where you will be able to choose the most convenient time for you to meet your child’s class teacher. All appointments are 10mins long and Y6 monitors will be on hand to time each appointment to ensure we do not overrun. If you have more than one child in the school it is important to leave a 10 minute gap between the end of the first appointment and the start of the next, i.e. if the first appointment is 4:10pm the next one should be at 4:30pm or later. Pokemon Cards and Trading We have seen an enthusiastic return of Pokemon Cards in school and we are keeping a careful eye on this – however, the responsibility remains with children and parents. By allowing your child to bring them into school, you are agreeing for them to take part in trades etc. If this becomes a problem we will ask that Pokemon Cards stay at home. Christmas Card Competition The Mayor has launched his annual Christmas Card competition to all school children. This year the prize is a family ticket to ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Neeld Hall. Further details on the reverse of this newsletter. There are also details of the half term drawing day being held at the Town Hall, so children and their parents can draw together.

New Football Kit A huge THANK YOU to Mr Highet who persuaded the company he works for, to sponsor our football team and provide a brand new kit – it was paraded in assembly this week and I’m sure the children will feel very proud when they play. Not only does it look great – Red and Black stripes – but is great quality having been made in Italy!
