Northwest Avalanche Center 2016/17 Website Sponsorship Program
Promote your product to a targeted snow-loving audience and support avalanche safety in the process! The Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) is the resource for mountain weather and avalanche forecasts in the Pacific Northwest—the go-to website for everyone recreating in the Cascades and Olympics in the winter. For the 8th season, we are offering the opportunity for companies to sponsor the NWAC website: www.nwac.us. This program has proven tremendously successful the past seven seasons, with sponsors receiving a great deal of traffic and above average click-through rates. Details about the program are as follows: Website traffic The winter of 2015-16 saw another large increase in traffic to the NWAC website. The site received over 1.7 million visits, over 3.8 million page views, and over 470,000 unique visitors. What you get We are selective about what ads we place on the website. They need to be relevant to our audience. As a result, the average click-through rate for all sponsored ads on the site last year was .36%. Demographics In a recent user survey of those frequenting the NWAC website this season:
59% spend more than one day per week in the mountains during the winter >60% are advanced or expert skiers and riders >88% have at least a bachelor’s degree 60% have a household income of over $75K
Placement options We are able to place three types of ads; a banner ad in the top right corner of any page, towers on the right side of many pages, and buttons on the right side of most pages. Pricing is based on the size of the ad and the traffic volume of desired pages. Current placement options are below:

Exclusive placements are available on a first come, first served basis.
