He departed this life on March 29, 2016, in Dallas, Texas. He formerly lived in Decatur, Alabama.
Prayer
He accepted Christ at an early age and united with the St. Stephens P.B. Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Eugene Lewis. He attended school in the Decatur City School System, graduating from Decatur High School with the class of 1983. He later moved to Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Jones, Sr., and his brother, Johnathan Jones. Archie leaves to cherish his memory: a son, Matthew Jones of Dallas, TX; his loving mother, Mattie Kate Clemons Jones of Decatur; three brothers, Gregory Jones (Kimberley) of Decatur and Archie Kirby and Chris Kirby of Huntsville, AL; two sisters, Evon Stewart of Chicago, IL and Gloria Kirby of Huntsville, AL; a long-time special friend, Robin Einnkauf; two aunts, Linda Gail Clemons and Wanda Kate Clemons of Decatur; one uncle, Louie Jones Clemons; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
I haven’t really left you Even though it may seem so I have gone to my heavenly home, And I am closer than you know.
