Obituary God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered "Come to Me." With tearful eyes, we watched you and saw pass away. Although, we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, that He only takes the best. Early Thursday morning, April 09, 2015; Willis Edward Hill, Jr., beheld the Glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Willis, the son of the late Willis E. Hill, Sr. and Helen Hill was born August 23, 1966 in Lumberton, North Carolina. Two siblings preceded him in death: Sara Lynn Hill and Willie Ray Hill. Willis was educated in the Public Schools of Robeson County at Orrum High School. To all that had the opportunity to know him, would agree that Willis was a fun loving, cheerful and dedicated person. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Marilyn Sykes Hill; and to this union God blessed them with a life together that will forever be cherished. Junior (Jr.) as he was affectionately called by family and friends lived life to the fullest each day. While on his journey here on earth, Jr. wore many hats - a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and a friend. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted and faithful wife, Marilyn Sykes-Hill of the home; his children; Ebony Hill and Kendra Hamilton, both of St. Petersburg and Tampa, FL; Anthony, Akela, and La-Kezia Sykes all of St. Pauls, NC; and five grandchildren. His loving mother, Helen Hill of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Edward Richardson (Tamicko) of Kernersville, NC; two sisters, Shirley and Angela Hill, both of Lumberton, NC; his father and mother-in-law George and Nora Sykes of St. Pauls, NC; a special goddaughter Kendra McDonald of Lumberton, NC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Don't look for me now I am gone. I wanted to stay, but my time had come. If I could I would've stayed to laugh or cry another day. Miss me, I know you will; Go ahead and wipe your tears. No more pain - I am healed. You can always carry me in your hearts, this way you'll know we'll never be apart.
