The International Association of Lions Clubs is the largest service organization in the world. Our “We Serve” attitude spans more than 46,000 Lions Clubs in 206 countries and geographical areas. Our association grew through a vision of a Chicago businessman named Melvin Jones who believed that like minded people could build stronger communities and make a real difference in the lives of the less fortunate through community service. Melvin Jones and his associates adopted the name LIONS which both projected a strong and powerful organization and identified the associations guiding principles: Liberty Intelligence - Our - Nations - Safety. Today, Lions Clubs are well known for the services we provide to help people with vision disorders. Our dedication to the restoration of sight dates back to 1925 when Helen Keller challenged Lions Clubs to be “Knights of the Blind”. Our Eye Care, Do You events present an opportunity for you to support the efforts of Lions Clubs throughout Michigan and to help those in need. People across our entire state will benefit from your participation in one of our scheduled events, and you may choose to support another charity, school or community service organization by collecting sponsorships for your run or walk. The Lions of Michigan Foundation will share all sponsorships you collect equally with your designated charity or non-profit group.

Register at Hidden Lake Gardens prior to the start of your event on race day. Registration will open at 8:30 AM. The adult onsite registration fee for all competitive events is $30, and the student onsite registration fee is $15 - cash or check only.
Adult Registration Fee: $25 Student Registration Fee: $10 Event Shirt: $5 Each Event Medal: $5 Each + Hidden Lake Gardens Admission Fee: $3 Per Person To receive a shirt and medal on race day, your event registration fee must be paid before September 1, 2016. Event shirts and medals ordered after September 1, 2016 will be shipped after the events. All races will be electronically timed using RFID chip technology. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each race.
