Thank you very much for your letters of 16th April and 2nd August 1990. I have visited the India Office Library and from that and other sources have a little more information for you: 1. Cornelia Eden, b. 25 Jul 1839 at Bangalore, India, buried at St. 1John's, Trichinopoly, India on 15 Mar 1843~ 2. Caroline Ellinor Osgood, b. 10 Oct 1841, bapt 28 Nov 1841 at St. 4 John's, Trichinopoly, buried at St. John's, Trichinopoly on 9 May 1842. 3. Alice Mary 6Eden, b. 18 Mar 1845, bapt 12 Jun 1845 at Bowenpilly, India, d. unmarried Feb 1924.~ .h-4. Oliver Tucker, attorney-at-law, of Ottery St. Mary, m. Abigail Whitlock and was buried at Ottery St. Mary on 22 Apr 1802 having had issue: a. George, b. 26 May 1783, bapt 1 Aug 1783 at Ottery St. Mary. b. John, b. 22 Aug 1788, bapt 1 Jan 1789 at ~Uery St. Mary. a. Charlotte, b. Apr 1786, bapt 2 Jan 1787 at Ottery St. Mary. I note from one of your letters that you have written an article on General John Whitelocke - I would be very interested in having a copy of the article if that were possible. Have you been able to find out any more about the GEORGEWHITLOCKat the top of 'my' tree? Did you ever receive more information of Eric Colin Whitlock, of Grantville, near Melbourne, who appears to be the head of the only family of this line bearing Whitlock male issue? That is all that I have for now but I thought that it was worth sending you a brief update any-\\Tayand do hope that you are able to provide me with a copy of your article in due course.
