Due to the continued success and growth of the company we are currently looking for a Ruby on Rails developer based in our head office in Paddington. One Big Switch is a pioneering consumer network, and one of Australia’s fastest growing companies. A BRW Top Ten start up, in its first twelve months One Big Switch signed up over 300,000 Australian households. In August One Big Switch ran the Big Electricity Switch, Australia’s largest ever consumer campaign. If you want to be part of a dynamic team that demands more, launches world first campaigns and challenges the status quo this is the role for you. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer we are looking for applicants who are excited to help build an application that is currently accessed by over 350,000 members. Your key responsibilities will include:
A 'best of class' Ruby on Rails developer that has at least 3 years development experience. Needs to thoroughly understand the full Rails stack, MySQL and ideally has decent front-end skills in HTML5/CSS3/Javascript. Ideally can help the Development Lead help steer the team in gem selection and development best practice.
