in it. A cheap one from Walmart will work just fine. 18" x 24" cutting mat Rotary Cutter (45mm or 60mm, must have a new blade installed to cut through 6 layers of fabric.) Paper & Pen for notes Basic Sewing Kit — scissors (paper & fabric), seam ripper, pin cushion, needle threader, etc...

Fabric 4 1/2 -5 3/4 yds will be enough for a good sized lap, twin or full quilt. Exact quilt sizes will vary depending on the "repeat" of the pattern on your fabric. You need to have a MINIMUM of 6 repeats. —

Page 17 in your pattern book. If you want precise yardage, you can do the math. Here's how: Measure the distance from the first design to where the design appears again. This is the "Repeat". Now take that measurement and multiply it by 6. This will give you how many inches of fabric you need, take that number and divide by 36 to convert to yardage amount. Aim for a repeat of 12 "-24 " for the best design size. Example: first design to exact next design is 13". 13 x 6 (repeats) = 78". 78/36 = 2.808 yards. You should purchase a minimum of 3 yards but, maybe add a 1/4 yard more for extra. Before Class Do NOT prewash fabric Iron all fabric flat
