One Block Wonder ````````````````````````` Time 10:00-1:00 Wednesday Session - Oct 23rd and November 13th Saturday Session - October 26th and November 23rd We will be making an extraordinary quilt that combines one fabric and simple piecing with wonderful instruction into a quilt with major WOW factor. Choose a fabric with a large splashy print. Do not be concerned with the actual picture on the fabric, just the colors and textures: leaves, flowers, dots, etc. After it is cut up, the pattern will not matter at all. Most fabrics have a 11”-12” repeat or a 20” – 21” repeat. To make a large throw/twin size you will need the 6 repeats of the 21” pattern. The smaller 12” repeat will yield a wall or crib size or double it (12 repeats) for the twin size. The first day you will be shown how to precisely cut the strips and combine the sections. Concessa will demonstrate how to sew the sections in preparation for the second class The second day, you will explore the world of color and design as you place the sections on you design wall and recombine them into a quilted piece of artwork. The quilt pictured above, was a monochrome print of African animals, zebras and lions
