Visit by Richard Harrington The whole school enjoyed the visit from Richard Harrington this morning. He talked about what MP’s do and the children held a vote which was hotly debated. We then moved outside to officially open the Basketball area. We all had a good bounce on the surface, including our MP! Although the basketball court is STILL not ready, we hope to be able to open it at the end of next week. The visit was a great success and it was fantastic for the children to get an opportunity to hear about what their MP does.

Year 5 Production Congratulations to the Year 5 children who put on a superb production of An out of this world Christmas. Thank you to all the staff and parents for their help preparing the children and providing fabulous costumes. After the performance a collection was held for Vision Africa, we will let you know how much was raised in our next newsletter. Rewards Morning Congratulations to Windsor, this term’s house point winners. They have enjoyed a fun packed morning making Christmas crafts and playing games.

New Hope Trust Don’t forget we will be holding a dress down day on Wednesday 16th December and asking children, who wish to take part, to bring in a donation of at least £1– to raise money for sleeping bags. Please hand in your donation by Monday 14th December. Football Match Report On Monday the school football team competed in their final match of the term against Orchard. Parkgate showed great determination working tirelessly on and off the ball, giving every ounce of energy they had. Unfortunately by half time they were 4-1 down but the whole team worked so well together that the team made it 5-2 by the final whistle. The entire team should be immensely proud of themselves; they played against a team ranked extremely highly in Watford and showed that the real key to being a successful football team is to work hard for the team and not show off as an individual.
