Dangerous Parking We know the weather was very bad yesterday afternoon and it was very wet, but there was a series of near misses—both children and car accidents, on the Parkgate Road at the end of the school day. The following cars all parked on the zig zags—X617 MGS, SD62GKN, KR06OEC, AK05 BEN. Please do not park on the zig zags. They are there to protect the children and ensure that the children can cross safely. Year 6 SATs Thank you to the children and staff for all their hard work during SATs week. The children remained focused and worked really hard all week. Well done! Free School Meals If you think you may be entitled to free school meals, you can apply online at www.hertsdirect.org/freeschoolmeals or by phone on 0300 123 4048.
Offices Messages Letters sent out this week: Caterlink: All payments must be put in an envelope which can be found by the office hatch. Please do not send in loose money. Can we also remind parents that all meals must be paid before your child takes their meal. Year 6 Parents Over the next few weeks we will start sending out details about leavers events. Can we ask for you help in making sure that any slips are returned quickly. Thank you. Year 6 swimming Year 6 will start swimming every Wednesday from 8th June so don’t forget they will need their swimming kit in school every Wednesday. Thank you. All Parents This is just a reminder that now we have your child’s yearly permission slip we will only send slips out if we need parents helpers. You only need to return this slip if you can help on a trip. We will still continue to ask for contributions towards the cost of the trip. Golf Club If your child would like to take part in the Golf club, please send in your payment and slip as soon as possible. Netball Taster—Year 4 Don’t forget to send back your slip if you would like your child to take part in the netball taster sessions.
School Photographs The school photographer will be in on Monday 18th May 2015 to take Year 6 leavers, class and sports team photos. Good Behaviour At Playtime Awards Raffle ticket winners are: 1st—Barathy Sathiyalingam & James Stock 2nd—Kyle Guirdham & Shona Ishemunyoro 3rd—David Agbeni, Faith Oguntayo & James Stock
Attendance For Last Week Congratulations to 4 Puffin and 6 Falcon on having the highest attendance last week and winning extra play! 3 Owl 97.3% 3 Robin 95.6% 4 Heron 96.7% 4 Puffin 100% 5 Parrot 96.1% 5 Toucan 96.6% 6 Eagle 97.8% 6 Falcon 100% Overall school result for the week is 97.5% Congratulation to the following STARS OF THE WEEK

Please return the Summer Fair Estate Agent’s Advertising Board slip if you can help by having a board outside your house – thank you. Don’t forget to return Spring Disco (Thursday 21 May) booking forms and payment by Tuesday 19 May – thank you (this needs to be via the office – we’re not planning on setting up online payments just yet!)
