Welcome to the fifth annual Yarra Valley Water Grape Run, located in Victoria’s picturesque Yarra Valley. We hope you enjoy one of Australia’s most scenic courses, and all the Yarra Valley has to offer, post your run/walk. Full participant instructions are detailed below. NO REFUNDS Race numbers will not be sent via mail. They can be picked up from 6:30am in Healesville for the 30km and 13km events and from 8:00am at Yarra Valley Racing Centre for the 5.2km event.
n CHANGE OF DISTANCE

[email protected] before Thursday, 12 September at 5:00pm, with your name, date of birth and distance you wish to change to. Alternatively, you can change from the 30km to the 13km or 13km to the 30km on the morning of the event at the Entries Marquee on River St – at the applicable start location only. If you would like to change your 5.2km run this can only be done up until 9:00am on Friday, 13 September - the day before the event.

n GETTING THERE
Note the Healesville-Yarra Glen Rd will be closed (westbound) between 6:30am and 12:15pm on the morning of the event and Old Healesville Road will also be closed (eastbound) from 6:30am to 11:00am. River St, Healesville (13km and 30km start line, Melway Map 278 C1): Take the Maroondah Hwy to Healesville. Turn left into Church St and park in the car park on the right. Approximate travel time from Melbourne (CBD) is 1hr 15mins. If you are being dropped off by family or friends who are meeting you at the finish line, they will need to travel to Yarra Glen by heading back along the Maroondah Hwy, right into St Huberts Rd, then right onto the Melba Hwy to Yarra Glen (Approximate travel time is 35mins). Yarra Valley Racing Centre (5.2km start and finish Line, Melway Map 275 C1): Take the Maroondah Hwy to Coldstream, veer left onto the Melba Hwy, which takes you to Yarra Glen. Continue onto Bell St then turn right into Armstrong Grove and left into the Yarra Valley Racing Centre. Participants and spectators will be able to park in the members and general public car park at the racetrack. Approximate travel time from Melbourne (CBD) is 1hr 15mins. Buses: Buses will be provided post event only from the Yarra Valley Racing Centre back to Healesville. Please note all participants are responsible for getting themselves to their respective start lines. Buses will run from 10:00am to 2:00pm. There is no charge to participants.

Please write the name and contact number of an emergency contact and any relevant information that will assist our medical team – in case of an emergency – on the back of your race number. Pin your race number on the front of your T-shirt.
the eastbound lane of Old Healesville Road and remain on this road until it meets Healesville Yarra Glen Rd, before turning right. They will continue along this road until they turn right into the Yarra Valley Racing Centre and finish on the centre track. With many crossing points on the 30km course, participants must follow the instructions of all traffic controllers and course marshals.

30km Cut Off Times: The 30km event is scheduled to start at 7:45am. No participant will be allowed to start this event more than 5 minutes after the actual start time. Please note: You must complete the event in 8 mins per kilometre or under. 7.45am start

ANYONE WITHOUT A RACE NUMBER WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO START. Ensure you prepare for the event adequately including training and nutrition. Please seek medical advice before participating and ensure you eat and drink adequately the day prior to the event, and throughout the morning of the event.
n MERCHANDISE
Pre-ordered T-shirts will be available for collection from the T-Shirt Collection/Number Pick Up marquees at both start locations. If you haven’t pre-purchased as yet, you can still purchase your Yarra Valley Water Grape Run Brooks Technical T-shirt on the morning of the event, at the Yarra Valley Racing Centre for $35.00.
n TIMING
Your Ipico timing tag will be provided in your race pack and must be attached to your shoe, with the twist ties provided. The timing device will be activated once you cross the start line and once again when you cross the finish line. These shoe tags will be collected after the completion of your event. Any shoe tag not returned will incur a $50 replacement cost following the event.
n TOILETS
Toilet facilities are available at the Yarra Glen Racing Centre for the 5.2km start, and the finish line for all events. Portable toilets will be available on River Street, Healesville for the 13km and 30km start. There are limited toilets on course.
n CLOTHING BAG DROP
The start area of the 13km and 30km events will have a designated clothing area – where you can drop a bag with your clothes to be transported to the finish area at the Yarra Valley Racing Centre, for collection after your run. Clothing must be dropped off no later than 7:30am for the 30km and 9:45am for the 13km, prior to the start of each event. Please ensure you attach the tear off strip on your race number to your bag. Do not place any valuables in the clothing bags. We cannot accept responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.
n START LINE AND COURSE
Please ensure you know your correct start location and how to get there pre-event. 30km start and course: Participants will start on River St and turn right onto Healesville Kinglake Rd. From there, they will turn left onto Healesville-Yarra Glen Rd and run in the westbound lane towards Yarra Glen. Participants will remain on this road until the Yarra Glen Bypass, following the roundabout and heading north on the southbound lane. Participants will then turn right onto

Intersection of Healesville-Yarra Glen Road and Yarra Glen Bypass - If you are not at this intersection (approx. 11km) by 9:15am you will be asked to make your way directly to the finish line at Yarra Glen or be transported by the trailing bus. Old Healesville Road (16km mark) - If you are not at this point by 10:00am, you will be asked to leave the course and will be transported by the trailing bus. Intersection of Old Healesville Rd and HealesvilleYarra Glen Rd - If you are not at this intersection (approx. 21km) by 10:40am, you will be asked to leave the course and will be transported by the trailing bus. 13km start and course: Participants will start on River St and turn right onto Healesville Kinglake Rd. From there, they will turn left onto Healesville-Yarra Glen Rd and run in the westbound lane towards Yarra Glen. They will continue along this road until turning right into the Yarra Valley Racing Centre and finishing on the Centre track. 13km Cut Off Times Please note each kilometre needs to be completed in 8 minutes or under in the 13km event. 11.44am 12km 5.2km start and course: The 5.2km course is an off road run event that will include a lap of the track before heading out to run an undulating cross country 1.5km loop through the vineyard surrounding the Yarra Valley Racing Centre. Participants will finish with a lap on the harness track to finish in front of the grandstand. Kilometre markers will be clearly signed. The course will be easy to follow and there will be course marshals to assist you. For the safety of all, no dogs, bikes or rollerblades are allowed.

The finish line for all events is at the Yarra Valley Racing Centre, Yarra Glen. Participants will be able to access products from event sponsors, such as a Yarra Valley Water water bottle, Emma & Tom’s Juice and Food for Health Bars.
Emma and Tom’s: Emma and Tom’s are once again providing juice to all participants that complete the event. Their juice works to revitalise the body, it contains no added sugar and is naturally low in calories - enjoy!
n COURSE SAFETY
n EVENT PHOTOS
We have been given the opportunity to use some of the Yarra Valley’s most picturesque roads for this event, however we need to allow all local residents and businesses along the route to access their properties. Our course follows the left lane heading towards Yarra Glen and local residents will be using the right coming in the opposite direction. Please be aware of any vehicles on the course, stay to the left at all times, and follow the directions of all Traffic Controllers and Course Marshals.
n DRINK STATIONS
Water and electrolytes will be available at the start and finish line for all events, and along the course approximately every 3kms.
n FIRST AID
St John First Aid will be located at the finish line, and on course. If you require first aid assistance on course, please notify a drink station attendant, course marshal or a course bike rider who will be able to radio for help. St John bike crews will also be roaming the course.
n PRESENTATIONS
At the conclusion of the event, a presentation ceremony will be conducted at the Main Stage at the Yarra Valley Racing Centre at 11:00am. Medals will be awarded to male and female placegetters of the 5.2km, 13km, and 30km run events. Spot prize cards will also be handed out randomly at the finish line for collection from the Main Stage.
n ENTERTAINMENT
A number of DJs and bands will be on course to keep you motivated.
n SPONSORS Yarra Valley Water: On Saturday it’s important that you hydrate your body before and after the race – be smart and hydrate with tap water. It’s better for the environment and your hip pocket too! There will be the opportunity to Choose Tap on the course. You can also have a free drink at the Choose Tap hydration station at the end of your run/walk. All participants who cross the finish line will also receive a reusable sports water bottle, perfect for filling with tap water before your next run! Results and certificates will be available after 5:00pm on Saturday, 14 September from www.starttofinish.com.au. You can also print a personalised official certificate from the website.

Start to Finish Event Management reserves the right to alter the course and/or race format without notice because of circumstances outside the control of the organiser and under the direction of sponsors, councils, police or other organisations that are associated with the event.
