Personal Awareness Workshop for Parents & Children As a parent, how do we talk with kids about sexual predators? What do we say? It’s a tough and awkward conversation to have. We want to make sure children know how to keep themselves safe, and what to do if they are targeted. Ragan Snyder, a Behavior Specialist at Rainbows, is hosting a workshop for parents and children to attend together. This workshop is targeted for ages 3-12 and open to all Rainbows’ families and employees. We protect our children by teaching them the safety rules, just as we would water and fire safety. This program will help you and your child learn about body safety without using fear tactics. The premises taught will be: - No one is allowed to touch the private parts of our body, unless it is to keep us healthy and clean. - Secrets about unsafe touches are not ok. - If someone tries to touch you in a way that makes you uncomfortable or confused: Say No, Go away, and Tell a trusted adult. - This is NOT a lecture on reproduction or names of body parts.
