The Samoans have conceded 497 points in PNC matches but Fiji, Tonga and Japan have all seen more points scored against them. Fiji field a total of 109 caps compared to Samoa’s 118.

Fiji bounced back from their disappointing Rugby World Cup 2011 campaign with a superb 25-19 victory over PNC 2011 champions Japan last Tuesday. Samoa also fared well, seeing off a committed Tonga side 20-18 later that evening. Samoa’s 2011 form was impressive, losing narrowly to South Africa and Wales and beating Fiji 27-7 in the Rugby World Cup but the year will be best remembered for their 32-23 victory over Australia in Sydney last July.
