Activity Description Shooting through the Cones- Place 2 disc cones 15-20 yards apart with a 6 yard goal in the middle. Position players at the outside cones, no more than 2-3 at each cone. Players take a preparation touch (1st touch) & then strike the ball through the 6-yd goal to the player on the opposite side. Activity 1 This players receives ball & prepares ball in 1 touch, then plays ball back through to opposite side. After their pass the player should follow ball to opposite side, but cannot run through the middle goal. Variations: Require players to use laces, weaker foot, or outside of foot. Numbered Shooting-4 players start off in the grid and are assigned a number. Everyone starts off by dribbling around the grid. When the coach shouts out one of the players number, that player must score on the goal closest as quick as possible. Activity 2 Progression: *Score on the furthest goal. *Score with non-dominate foot. *Can call out multiple numbers. Play 4 rounds of 2 min. with 30 sec. rest in between. 5v5 Finishing Competition. Use the 18 yard box for this drill/competition. Coach has 10 balls in the half circle. Two teams inside the 18 yard box - one team is attacking (red) and one team defending (white). 1 Goal Keeper. Coach passes a ball to one of the attacking players and they try to shoot/ Activity 3 score. Once the ball goes out of bounce or in the back of the net, coach will quickly play another ball to a different attacker. The attacking team will get 10 balls and see how many they can score. Once the 10 balls are done, the teams switch roles. The team with the most goals win!
7v5 to Goal-40(wide)x60(long) or half field. Each team has 1 goal to defend & 1 goal to attack. 7 Players (6 field players & 1 GK) attack 5 players (4 field players & 1Gk). Rotate teams each Activity 4 round.

Go over restarts, and team shape. Be careful of coaching(speaking) too much. Try to only coach in natural stoppages(when the ball is out of bounds, after a goal, etc).
