Pattern Required: Prismatic Star by Judy Niemeyer Fabric Requirements:

1 Judy Niemeyer Bali Pop (48 strips) or your choice of Bali Pops or other fabric which will give you 48 2 ½” strips

Accent Fabric – 1 1/8 yard

Background fabric and Binding – 4 ½ yards 

Sewing machine with ¼” foot and accessories, cleaned and in good working order (it is always a good idea to bring your sewing machine manual) Heavy weight template plastic 12” Add-a-quarter rulers Purple Thang 45 mm or 60 mm rotary cutter with new blade Size 70 Microtex needles Scissors Seam ripper UHU Glue Stick (for gluing fabric to paper) Glue Pen and refills for gluing fabric to fabric High quality cotton sewing thread (Aurifil is great) Flower pins Scotch Tape 8 large Ziploc Bags – numbered 1-8 Marti Michell’s Deluxe Corner Trimmer (optional)

               Prior to Class: Cut out foundation papers and templates by trimming the excess paper away, approximately 1/8” beyond the outside cutting line.

If you are choosing your own fabrics, cut all 2 ½” strips. Be sure you have 6 sets of 8 fabrics, arranged from light to dark. In each bag (bags 1-6) , place one of each foundation sheet, A1, A2, A3 and A4, and one strip set containing 8 fabrics arranged light to dark.
