History How? Evolved out of housing led work targeted at individual neighbourhoods from 1995 onwards

Why? Vision came out originally through WMDC wishing to work throughout the District with Groundwork because of the added value demonstrated in previous partnership working

When? Initial idea and project developed in 2001 and Joint Venture agreement signed in 2002

What is a Blueprint? • An engagement framework for identifying short and medium term environmental improvements within communities

• A community led process that identifies the needs within a community and which through consensus and joint action seeks to make lasting improvements
