PARTICIPANT INSTRUCTIONS PRE-EVENT INFORMATION ENTRIES

Your family and friends can still enter either: • Online at www.starttofinish.com.au (online entries close at 12:00 noon on Thursday, 9 April) • At the entries marquee: From 2pm Saturday, 11 April or on day from 5:45am

TRAINING CLINIC - FREE PRACTICAL SESSION When: Saturday, 11 April, 2015

Check in from 2:45pm. Session starts at 3:00pm Where: Peter Scullin Reserve, Mordialloc

Training clinic focus will be on an introduction to triathlon and practise transitions. This will be a practical session. What to bring: bike-helmet, bike shoes/runners. The clinic will conclude with a tour of the transition site.

To register:

1. Download the TeamUp app on your iPhone, Android or Facebook via the TeamUp Website 2. Sign into the app / create an account 3. Search for the ‘TeamUp ActiveTri Training Session’ 4. SCHOOLS AND CLUBS AREA

All Triathlon Schools and Clubs attending have been given the opportunity to set up their marquees in our schools and clubs area to use as a base for their team. To book a marquee please download the marquee form from our website. Please note: NO VECHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON SITE AT THIS VENUE.

EVENT WEEKEND REGISTRATION

All competitors can register as a late entrant on Saturday, 11 April from 2:00 – 4:00pm. This is also a great opportunity to have a look at the course, lay out of transition and where your bike will be placed on race day. Alternatively, competitors can register on event day from 5:45am.

RACE KIT COLLECTION

Participants can pick up their race kit at the event site on Saturday, 11 April from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and on Sunday from 5:45am.

TOILETS

Toilets are located at each end of the reserve. Please note there are also portable toilets available at the event site.

PARTICIPANT INSTRUCTIONS

CLOTHING DROP OFF

A bag drop will be located at the event site for free storage of your clothing during the event. Please do not place any valuables in the bag drop area, as we can not accept the responsibility for valuables lost or stolen.

SERIES ENTRANTS

Participants racing in the Olympic Distance will need to pick up a new Race Pack which will contain a new timing chip and swim cap. Those racing in the Sprint and Mini distance will also need to pick up a new timing chip. All entrants can pick these up at the timing chip collection line.

RACE MORNING CHECKLIST SPRINT, OLYMPIC AND MINI TRIATHLON Collect your pre-packed race envelope that will contain: • A coloured security wrist-band

• A black velcro timing ankle-band with a timing chip attached • A bike & helmet security sticker • A swim cap and sponsor information

Please check your details printed on the sticker on the outside of your pack. If any of the information is incorrect, you MUST return to registration to amend your details; this will affect the accuracy of your results. Once you have your pack: 1. Attach your security band to your wrist, allowing you access into transition. 2. Place your bike sticker on the centre of your handle bars/head stem and your helmet sticker on the RIGHT hand side of your helmet. 3. Attach your timing band around your ANKLE. Remember to hand the timing band in after the event. 4. Proceed to the arm numbering area where you will have your race number written on your RIGHT ARM and RIGHT THIGH and race category letter written on the back of your RIGHT CALF. This can also be done yourself. Please use our website (www.starttofinish. com.au) for reference. 5. Proceed to the bike compound, ensuring that your helmet is securely fastened and your security band is on in preparation for your security check. Find your race number on the bike racks to set up your bike and gear.

You will find your sticker in your age group and then in alphabetical order. Those who entered after Thursday WILL NOT have an allocated bike spot and will need to rack their bike on the on day entries rack. 6. Attend the race briefing which will be held on the beach for the Mini and Sprint races.



7. We have full road closure, however be aware that cars may come onto the course and as always be aware of other cyclists on the road also.

KIDS TRI

Kids Tri Information will be available on a separate sheet at registration and on our website www.starttofinish.com. au.

POST-EVENT BLACK TIMING BANDS Everyone must return their timing bands at the finish line. REFRESHMENTS Refreshments will be available at the finish line. Each participant will receive an Emma & Tom’s bar and a cup of Nuun Hydration and a Chobani yoghurt. MOCHA MONKEY Mocha Monkey will be serving coffee on site throughout the morning. RACE RESULTS Finish times and places will be up on our website www.starttofinish.com.au by 6:00pm Sunday for Race 5 and the Series. PRESENTATIONS AND SPOT PRIZES Spot Prizes will be given out randomly post-event to a lucky few. Age group, Race 5 and Series medals are awarded to the top 3 place getters. (Mini- Approximately 9.30am and Sprint/Olympic -Approximately 11:00am)
