The Advanced Signal Timing Course will be held on December 10, 2015 in Markham.
The Technical Traffic Operations Course will be held April 4-15, 2016 at the OPC.
The Police Traffic Officers Course will be held April 4-6, 2016 at the OPC.
This advanced signal timing course has been revised for 2015 and is designed to provide the traffic engineering practitioner with concepts and techniques used to define, calculate and implement signal timing plans for various operating conditions and characteristics. The course is designed for transportation professionals involved with decisions, process or implementation of new signal timing.
This course and the Police Traffic Officers Course run concurrently. The two courses encourage interaction between engineering and policing personnel and build an understanding of the roles that staff in each field contribute to enhancing safety on Ontario’s roads.
The Police Traffic Officers Course is primarily intended for front line patrol officers including supervisors assigned to traffic related duties. Participants will receive refresher updates on current legislation pertaining to Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code driving offences.
