Request for Executive Session - Review and Discussion of the Proprietary Procurement Agreement for KPU IPTV Programming Content- NW Sports Net LLC
By separate report [see agenda statement 7b(1 )], the General Manager's office is requesting that the City Council move forward with Telecommunications Division participation in an agreement between the City of Ketch ikan d/b/a KPU TV and NW Sports Net LLC for the procurement of KPU IPTV programming content. If this City Council believes it is necessary to review the specific terms and conditions of the agreement, my office is requesting an executive session with the City Council prior to its consideration of the award to NW Sports Net LLC. If the City Council determines that such a review is unnecessary, no executive session will be requ ired. A motion has been prepared for City Council consideration .
RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the City Council adopt the motion finding that consistent with the Assistant General Manager's memorandum dated December 19, 2016, it is in the City's best interest to consider such matters in executive session and that the Council go into executive session under KMC 2.04.025(a)(1) and (3) to review and discuss those aspects of the procurement of KPU IPTV programming content through an agreement with NW Sports Net LLC, which contains information required to be confidential pursuant to the Alaska Trade Secrets Act.
Recommended Motion: I move the City Council find that consistent with the Assistant General Manager's memorandum dated December 19, 2016, it is in the City's best interest to consider such matters in executive session and that the Council go into executive session under KMC 2.04.025(a)(1) and (3) to review and discuss those aspects of the procurement of KPU IPTV programming content through an agreement with NW Sports Net LLC, which contains information required to be confidential pursuant to the Alaska Trade Secrets Act.
