Jewish people today associate the Feast of Trumpets with the Jewish New Year, or Rosh Hashanah. One of their traditions is to eat apple slices dipped in honey in hopes that the new year will be sweet!

DIRECTIONS: Step 1: Cut the apples into slices. (If kids are helping, make sure to supervise the cutting process.) Step 2: Arrange the apple slices on a plate and drizzle them with honey. (If you aren’t planning to eat the apples right away, you may want to sprinkle them with lemon juice to avoid browning.) Step 3: Eat a slice of apple, thanking God for His faithfulness and the sweet new year ahead!
