Overview of the Training: This skills based interactive training is being tailored for supervisors in Early Intervention programs who serve children birth to five. Supervisors who attend will learn skills that they can implement immediately to provide staff with support needed in difficult situations and to promote a strengths based solutions focused approach to supervision. Training Outcomes: Participants will be able to: 1) Identify the seven key strategies through an interactional and solutions focused supervision model. 2) Identify opportunities to implement a strength-based solutions focused interviewing, interventional and growth oriented approach in supervision. 3) Practice applying solution focused techniques to various supervisory roles and responsibilities Agenda: 8:00 – 8:30 8:30-10:30 10:30-10:45 10:45-12:00 12:00-1:00 1:00-2:30 2:30-2:45 2:45-4:00

Presenters: June E. Fisher, MSW, LSW has spent her professional career (20+ years) providing professional services and/or training to children, youth, families, professionals and their communities. She has intellectual disability, child welfare, trauma, mental health, drug and alcohol and educational experience. Ms. Fisher has been an adjunct faculty member in the social work departments of West Chester, Widener and Temple University. She has been named the 2009 Trainer of the Year by the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Training Program. She provides dynamic interactive workshops for families, agencies and communities. Patricia L. Gadsden is the founder and President of Life Esteem, a personal and professional enrichment training/consulting firm. She is a respected workshop and seminar leader who works with businesses, state agencies, colleges and schools, educational and human service organizations. Mrs. Gadsden was named one of the top 50 Pennsylvania Women in Business for 2006, by the Central Penn Journal. She has contracted with the University of Pittsburgh’s PA Child Welfare Training Program since 1993 to provide diversity and others trainings for supervisors.
