For those of you new to the Royal Borough of Greenwich, Sunday 23 April is the day when the annual Virgin Money London Marathon takes place. Roads will be closed from 07:00 and access to and from your property will not be possible until the roads reopen at approximately 14:00. If you have to leave your property by car on the day we suggest you do so before 07:00. We appreciate this may cause some inconvenience but hope that this advance warning will mean disruption is minimal and that you will be able to come to watch and enjoy the spectacle as 39,000 runners make their way around the 26.2 mile route. A road closure leaflet has been distributed to all residents and businesses along the Marathon route – this leaflet details all the road closure and reopening times. This can also be found online at virginmoneylondonmarathon.co.uk/road-closures If you have any specific access issues, please contact our helpdesk team on 020 7902 0200. (Please note this number is NOT operational on Sunday 23 April.) The helpdesk team can put you in touch with the site manager for the area who will be able to discuss possible solutions with you.
