The church was planted almost 20 years ago by Mariners Church of Irvine, CA and currently has a weekend attendance of approximately 2700 adults across 5 campuses and an annual budget of 5 million. For more information about ROCKHARBOR including our statement of beliefs, visit rockharbor.org About The Lead Team OF ROCKHARBOR The Lead Department of ROCKHARBOR collaborates to oversee the future direction of ROCKHARBOR by seeking, discerning, and praying on ROCKHARBOR’s behalf and managing the day-to-day aspects of the church. The department consists of our Church Wide Elder Team, and Management Team which includes our Lead Pastor, Director of Staff, Director of Operations, and the Costa Mesa Campus Pastor. They share a variety of roles such as shepherding our church, leading, managing and equipping our staff, and setting short-term strategic direction for the church as a whole.
About the position This position is a full-time hourly [32-40 hours/week] permanent position. We would like this position to start no later than June 19, 2017. This position reports to Bart Scharrer, Lead Pastor and Stacy Scott, Director of Staff. ROCKHARBOR Church Executive Associate to Lead Pastor and Director of Staff Primary purpose of position To work alongside the Lead Pastor and Director of Staff ensuring that the Church Wide Lead departments are administratively supported, organized for efficiency and effectiveness and equipped to further the goals of Church Wide and live out the mission and values of ROCKHARBOR Church. Key responsibilities Serve as the contact person for the Lead Pastor, Director of Staff, and Church Wide Elders. Coordinate weekly schedules of the Lead Pastor and Director of Staff to help ensure they are spending their time moving the right things forward and meetings are planned accordingly. Organize and prioritize the Lead Pastor’s email account. This includes being able to reply on behalf of the Lead Pastor, identifying deadlines, and follow up with the Lead Pastor to ensure he is on task. Provide management and support for the Church Wide Lead budget, helping to create the budget during the planning process and promptly processing check requests, invoices and reimbursements as needed. Reconcile the Lead Pastor’s ROCKHARBOR credit card monthly. Utilize myRH to manage Lead Ministries. Help plan and coordinate weekly staff meetings alongside Director of Staff. Coordinate yearly reviews for Campus Pastors and ensure that annual ministry plans and evaluations are completed and filed in a timely manner. Coordinate any needed travel for Lead Pastor or Director of staff including a schedule of the time away, booking flights, hotels, and transportation while maintaining a budget. Maintain awareness of what is taking place across the church, providing relevant information to Lead staff. Visit campuses periodically, review our website throughout the year. Appreciate and acknowledge staff milestones (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.) alongside Director of Staff. Assist Management Team in weekly meetings by providing relevant information, note taking, assigning follow-up tasks and keeping the team on track. Assist Campus Pastor Roundtable in weekly meetings by providing relevant information, note taking, assigning follow-up tasks and keeping the team on track. Prepare meeting agendas for Management team, Campus Pastors, and weekly staff meetings alongside the Director of Staff. Provide communication, and support to the Church Wide Elder Team. Plan and organize meetings and retreats for the Church Wide Elder Team. Be available to assist the Church Wide Elder Team with miscellaneous tasks. Assist with miscellaneous errands and projects as needed, like the annual Staff Retreat. Organize other meetings and events for church leadership. Be available to come alongside various teams as needed, per Lead Pastor or Director of Staff. Qualifications Intimate and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ Strong computer skills
