IRA CHAMPIONSHIPS: 10TH (VARSITY 8) / EARC CHAMPIONSHIPS: 9TH
UW picks up silver medal at national championships, team 10th

Wisconsin’s lightweight fours boat won a silver medal at the 2013 IRA National Championships, making it 10-straight years that the Badgers have picked up at least one medal at the national championships regatta. The team finished in 10th place overall as the varsity eight placed fourth in the petite final. The Badgers’ second novice eight crew won a conference championship at the EARC championships. At the sprints, Wisconsin’s varsity eight placed third in the petite final for a ninth-place team finish. Wisconsin won its eighth-straight Cochrane Cup title with wins over MIT in Boston. During the spring season, the Badgers’ varsity eight also notched victories over Minnesota, MSOE and Oregon State. Varsity Eight
