Spotlight: Boys Hockey The Farmington Valley Generals are a co-op team primarily made up of players from Farmington and Avon - 11 of whom are Seniors. Long-time Farmington coach Mike Barone and Scott Percival (AHS science teacher) work together to coach the team. This years Senior group started playing together during their freshman year, finishing just 3-20. The team grew stronger each year and in 2016 they won the CCC South Tournament. They won it again in 2017, advancing to the CIAC Division II quarterfinals. This year the team moved into the more competitive CCC North Division.

The Generals, lead by senior captains Peter Hoffman and Marco Bernasconi, have won 17 out of 20 games so far this season; They are the #1 seed in the CCC North - their first year in the division - and they view their experience (individually and together as a team) as their greatest strength. The boys ar hoping their experience will pay off in the Division II Tournament starts which starts this week (see schedule details above).
AHS seniors: Lucas Powers, Jack Noble, Jack Murray, Ryan Bellucci , Peter Hoffman and Marco Bernasconi have led the Farmington Valley Generals to the #1 spot in the highly competitive CCC North division.
Junior Eric Schweitzer gets cheered on by the AHS Falconatics.

DID YOU KNOW? SCHOLARSHIP APPS ARE OPEN! The Booster Club awards a number of scholarships to qualifying AHS student-athletes every year. The club sponsors two different scholarship categories: Named Scholarships (which honor specific, fallen Falcons) and General Scholarships (which recognize athletes for their participation and performance in the school athletics program). Student-athletes may apply to both. Applications open today and are due April 15th. To review the applications or to apply, please click here and select the scholarship(s) you wish to explore in left-hand the drop-down menu under “Scholarships”. Good luck!
NEWS FROM THE ATHLETIC OFFICE OK Guys, even this parent hasn’t signed her spring athlete up, yet, and the season starts in two weeks! At this point, you should know that athlete registration is now done online through a program called FamilyID (which was a big hit with the winter with families and coaches). Through Family ID, you have the ease of conveniently registering your athlete(s) (and paying player fees) online. All of your athlete’s registration info is stored electronically for easy updating, re-use, and retrieval by the coaches - saving us over 4000 pieces of paper a season! If your athlete registers but does not make a team, or switches teams, the change can be easily made online - or, with a simple click, the athletic office can refund your payment. Visit the AHS Athletics website to sign up today. Go Falcons!
