Week of 5/15/17 Miss Vance and Mrs. Fox Newby Elementary
READING: Students may read a book of choice this week as we study SHARKS and DOLPHINS in class!
Mrs. Fox’s class will not have Gym this week due to FIELD DAY TODAY!! Miss Vance’s class has Gym tomorrow and this FRIDAY!!
WRITING: Compare/Contrast writing!!
MATH: This week we’ll work on Area and Perimeter.
SPELLING: There are no more spelling tests this year!!
HOMEWORK M – Read Choice T – Read Choice W – Read Choice Th – Read Choice F – NO HOMEWORK RETURN READING CALENDARS by MONDAY, May 22nd!!
NOTES: Amazingly, there are only 7 days of school left for students this year. Please have your child return all blue readers, green science textbooks or library books! We are missing several blue readers, and need those for our incoming second graders.
BOGO BOOK FAIR This Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday the PTO will be hosting a Buy One, Get One Book Fair!! Also, FYI – Check out the Mooresville Public Library Summer Reading program! Don’t let your child lose the reading gains they’ve made this year!
