Remember, we are a “Preschool” not a daycare. We take pride in leading our children in God’s word. We start lessons at 8:30am and expect children to arrive on time to their classrooms. If you have an appointment or something that may cause you to arrive after 8:30am then please call our Preschool office at the number above and let us know. Thank you so much!

Welcome... I would like to welcome all of our Preschool Families, returning and new, to the 2016-2017 school year! We recognize that each child is God’s wonderful creation and encourage their growth in HIS knowledge while providing for their physical, social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. Our amazing, experienced teachers have been busy preparing, and we all look forward to sharing another wonderful year with all of our families. Here are a few reminders to help the school year run smoothly: Hand washing: All children must wash their hands before entering the classroom upon arrival each day. This is a NC State Law. Dress Code: Dress your child in clothing appropriate for preschool. This includes clothing that can get dirty as a result of painting or gardening. Closed toed shoes keep those little toes safe! (No flip flops) Sign in/Out: Remember to sign your child in and out each day using your full signature in the Sign in/out books located in the classroom. Folders: Please check your child’s folder/cubby daily located in your child’s classroom. That is our best form of communication between our school and home. We also email so if you haven’t already, please provide the office with your email address so you can stay in the loop! If you have any questions, please stop by and visit with me, my door is always open. We look forward to all that God has planned for your child at TBCA Pre-school. Thank you! Laura Harris– Director

Here are 6 tips that our Teachers incorporate into their Teaching Ministry with our children: 1. Prayer  Pray for a “heart for kids”  Pray for understanding – of the children; of the scripture you are teaching; of the teaching process  Pray for the children 2. Important Information.  Learn about the kids you are teaching, their age – level characteristics; personality types; etc.  Learn different teaching methods, techniques & tools  Understand how children learn (visual; auditory; kinesthetic) 3. Invest in relationships.  Know the child (individually)  Know the child’s family & home situation  Be proactive in building a relationship 4. Prepare well.  Plan all aspects of your class at the beginning of the week  Communicate with other team members as necessary  Arrive on time to be ready for the 1st child – that’s when class begin 5. Include children in the teaching process.  Ask many questions  Keep them active  Let them participate in the teaching process (skits; characters; etc.) 6. Incorporate the Gospel into every message  Realize that you may only have one opportunity  Be ready to share the Gospel  Emphasize the significance of the Gospel in relation to anything you are teaching
