A SLICE OF AOII Did you know? This will be the last Slice of AOII until October 1st. Look for our summer newsletter which comes out in August. It will have a dues form in it. We hope you will be able to join us again in the Fall. We have some wonderful programs and other events planned. Check out the calendar on our website above. It’s always great to spend time with your AOII sisters.
On June 4th, Cindy Cubberley and Cathy Taylor joined other AO I Is a t t h e Un i v e r s i t y o f Chicago for their Alumni We e ke n d D i n n e r. Pa s t International President, Peg Crawford, and Chicago South S u b u r b a n A l u m n a e C h a p te r President, Sue Trump attended as well. Phi Chi Collegiate Chapter won the Quality Cup in the InterFraternity Sing competition.
Leadership Institute, June 24 - 26, Franklin, TN Thank you for sending me to Leadership this year! It is always an amazing experience to spend time with talented, caring sisters from all over the country and Canada. You will hear more about it in the Fall. Plan on joining us on September 14th. This is an award winning group!! We received…. Carol Stephens, Laurie Summers, Sue Blakely, Diane Pellettiere, Judy Zawacke, and Pat Juza enjoyed a lovely breakfast with Sue Dunmead who was in town from Florida. We miss you Sue!
Excellence in Operations, Communications, & Alumnae Panhellenic, as well as Ruby Level in Standards of Excellence. Members Stephanie Mete and Joyce Strout, along with West Suburban President, Sharon Wiechman, were honored with Rose Awards for their dedication to AOII. Congratulations Ladies!!
Look closely at the amount of the check on the right! That is the amount AOII donated to the Arthritis Fo u n d a t i o n . Our dollars support arthritis r e s e a r c h , Ju v e n i l e Arthritis Power Packs, and Juvenile Arthritis Camps & Conferences. Panda and book collections were two service projects attendees at Leadership participated in. The Pandas will go to Juvenile Arthritis Conference Attendees in Philadelphia and Phoenix and the books to The Word Wagon, an organization that promotes literacy in middle Tennessee.
So good to meet up with CNW sisters Danielle Parrillo, Terry Palmer, and Joyce Strout who now live in Tennessee and Nebraska, before LI.

Four of the five Chicago Area Alum Presidents are pictured with Network Special for Alumnae Stephanie Mete, CNW member. Pat Juza, Chicago Northwest President, Sue Ballinger, Lake County President, Sue Trump, South Suburban President, Stephanie, and Sharon Wiechman, West Suburban President.
Alpha Omicron Pi will rotate into the presidency of National Panhellenic in 2017. That has not happened for 52 years when Mary Louise Roller served in that capacity. To commemorate this event, AOII presented this pin to Carole Jo n e s , Pa s t In t e r n a t i o n a l President, to wear during her term as Panhellenic V.P. this year and President next year. The O has emeralds around it, as green is the official Panhellenic color. The picture does not do this beautiful pin justice!!
