This year we collected ten AOII pitchers full of pop tops f o r Ro n a l d McDonald House. Keep saving those tops!!
The weather was beautiful on May 21 for the Walk to Cure Arthritis at Old School Forest Preserve. AOIIs, family and friends from South, West, Lake County, and Northwest raised over $6000 for the cause!! We were the third highest earning team in this walk and are currently the third highest AOII team nationwide in all the Arthritis walks!! We should be very proud of ourselves!!
AOIIs from the Four Suburban Alumnae Chapters
Stephanie Mete, Alan Spletzer, Vicky Stumpf, and Laura Schellenbach are hanging out under the tent in the Tailgate Area we earned because of our fundraising totals!
Laura Schellenbach is enjoying lemonade and tea sandwiches brought by West Suburban member Vicky Stumpf. AOIIs Linda Grandolfo and Sue Ballinger both spoke before the walk began. Linda is the Chairman of the Arthritis Foundation Board and Sue is Lake County Alumnae President and the walk’s adult honoree for this year. I hope more of you can join us next year. It is a lot of fun and a great philanthropic project that develops cooperation among the alum chapters.
