Crystal City Sector Plan & Multi-Modal Study • Sector Plan: Refers guidance to MTP – North of 23rd St S – 110 ft between building face, parking, bicycle lane, and two travel lanes – South of 23rd – Maintain medians, improve sidewalks

• Multi-Modal Study: More detailed variations on MTP, based on location – Recommendations for four separate areas of South Eads Street, all included bicycle accommodations and parking 8

Existing Conditions: S Eads St • Army-Navy Drive to 12th St S – 2-lane section with on-street parking – Currently mixed-use with planned redevelopment

Existing Conditions: S Eads St • 12th St S to 15th St S – 4-lane undivided section with on-street parking – East side residential uses and west side light industrial with planned mixed-use development

Existing Conditions: S Eads St • 15th St S to 23rd St S – 4-lane section with two-way left turn lane and on-street parking – Mixed-use development including hotel, office, and residential

Existing Conditions: S Eads St • 23rd St S to Fort Scott Dr – 2-lane divided section with bike lanes and on-street parking – West side single-family residential and east side commercial

Existing Conditions: S Eads St • Fort Scott Dr to S Glebe Rd – 2-lane undivided section with bike lanes and on-street parking – Primarily light industrial uses including transit garages and water pollution control plant

Pilot Project – S Eads St • Arlington is planning to install some of these design elements as part of a pilot project in Fall 2014 – Resurfacing of S Eads St expected in Fall 2014 from 15th St S to 23rd St S

• Pilot project will include a road diet and a protected bike lane • Pilot would be monitored with extensive traffic data collection
