LAST SEASON AGAINST PACE Southern Connecticut went 1-2 against Pace University last season. The Setters took the first two games from the Owls by the scores of 5-0 and Conference win. Both teams were tied at 1-1 8-4. However, Southern Connecticut ended the entering the third before Southern Connecticut series with a 6-4 win over Pace in Flemington, N.J. took a 4-1 lead after scoring three runs. Turnier picked up his team-leading fourth win of the year, going six innings and surrendering six hits and three runs, while striking out three. • Griffin Bremer finished off the win with a threeinning save. SCOUTING PACE UNIVERSITY • Pace enters Friday’s game coming off a huge 16-5 win over Dominican College. • As a team, Pace ranks second in the conference in at bats (620), extra base hits (58), sacrifice hits (11), slugging percentage (.432) and shutouts (3). • Senior Andrew Coffey ranks second in the conference with a .413 batting average while junior Cory Capaldi is tied in second in the conference with 19 RBI. • Senior Dylan Mouzakes is fifth in the league with three wins on the season while the Setters’ bullpen has a team ERA of 3.89.

• Junior Kyle Hart led the Owls this afternoon with a 3-for-5 showing at the plate as well as recorded two doubles, two runs scored and a team-high four RBI while Ethan Joyce had two hits, a run and two RBI. WIN OVER NO. 17 LYNN Southern Connecticut had a busy first three innings as the Owls scored 16 runs before securing the 2214 non-conference win at No. 17 Lynn University. • Red shirt sophomore Ryan Kaplan and red shirt freshman Nick Lamberti led the Owls at the plate both going 4-for-5 while Kaplan recorded a teamhigh five RBI and Lamberti collected a team-high four runs. • Junior Kyle Hart registered not only his first home run of the season but the first home run for the Owls this year. • Senior Jason Harper earned his third win of the season as came in for the Owls in the bottom of the fifth and pitched a total of 2.2 innings. Harper allowed two runs off three hits while registering two walks and a strikeout.
