CHRISTMAS SHOP INFORMATION SENT HOME TODAY - Included is a volunteer form, instructions, and an envelope for students to use as a guide for gift recipients and to place their money in. The shop will be open on Friday, December 1. Each class will have a designated time to. Adults may shop after the children finish on Friday, 2:30-4:30. Preschool students who don’t attend school on Friday are welcome to stop in any time during the day to shop.
CHILDCARE SCHEDULE - Childcare will be open Wednesday, November 22 but closed on November 23 and 24. A survey will go home on Nov. 27 asking if childcare is needed for December 22, 27, 28, 29 and January 2. CHRISTMAS PROGRAM - “The Power of the King!” Parts have been assigned and students are practicing. Performances will be Thursday, December 14 at 10:00 am and Saturday, December 16 at 6:00 pm, followed by an after-glow. Pre-school through 8th grade will be participating. Band and handbell choirs will be involved. Christmas Program Dress - Students in Grades 1 - 8 are to wear white collared tops and navy bottoms. Girls may wear navy skirts and navy tights. All should wear dark shoes. Preschool and Kindergarten are to wear Christmas outfits/Sunday best.
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER CHAPEL OFFERINGS - We are collecting non-perishable food items for our church’s food pantry. Each year St. Paul assembles Christmas food boxes for families in the Flint community who are in need at Christmas. Our monetary chapel offerings for November and December will provide Christmas gifts for children who may not otherwise receive gifts. Each class is “adopting” a child and volunteers are shopping. A portion of the proceeds from the Christmas Shop will also be used to help these children. Monetary chapel offerings will also be used.
OUR STAFF PRAYS each morning during devotions for four of our students and staff. They are also prayed for during morning announcements. Next week we will pray for: Monday - Marc McKenney, Evie Guith, Trenton Stinnett, Mrs. Walsh; Tuesday - Natalie Grim, Jaxson Pemberton, Jerome Adams, Mrs. Mick. The week of November 27 we will pray for: Monday - Deonna Hall, Elizabeth Allison, Alexa Swift-Gomez, Dashawn Nuby; Tuesday - Edison Jansen van Galen, Kaitlyn Paris, DeVante Nunn, Mrs. Geyer; Thursday Gregory Timmons, Emma Williams, Jordan YoungMcIntosh, Semaj Jenkins; Friday - Corinne Thompson, Sammy Hippensteel, Gavin Montague, Mr. Cooley. SCRIP News - Buying SCRIP is a great way to earn funds for Child Care, Washington, D.C. trip and Education Fees. Some families have earned hundreds of dollars just by buy SCRIP for things they normally purchase - gas, food, gifts, etc. SCRIP offers hundreds of cards, many of which are reloadable and available as e-cards. Gift cards make great Christmas gifts! You can check it out at shopwithscrip.com or stop in the office and inquire. In order for your credit to go to your account, you will need to get St. Paul’s code number to order cards online. Presto Pay is an option for ordering and paying online. This makes it very easy to reload gift cards. Once it’s all set up it takes just a few seconds to place an order. KEEP SAVING BOX TOPS - This is an ongoing project.
VALLEY LU INFORMATION EVENT All 7th/8th grade students and their families are invited to the Valley Lutheran High School, Saginaw, "Fall Information Event". Tuesday, November 28, 2017, 7:00pm.
