Spring 2018 KU Intramural Sand Volleyball Informational
SAND VOLLEYBALL INTRAMURAL SPORTS Sport Description Sand volleyball is a team sport played by two teams of 4 players on a sand court divided by a net. A two person version of it is played in the Olympics. With different leagues offered it is a fun way to spend time with your friend. A regulation match consists of the best two out of three games. Rally scoring will be utilized, which means a team does not have to be serving to score a point. The first two games are played to 21 points, winner must be ahead by two points, with a cap of 25 points. The third game, if necessary, will be played to 15 points, winner must be ahead by two points, with a cap of 20 points.

ENTRY FEE AND DUE $11.05 per team paid online through IMLeagues.com when selecting a division to compete in. The registration fee is due by the end of the registration process. DATES: All games will be played on the sand volleyball courts north of Watkins between Robinson and the Price Computing Center LEAGUES & PLAYER Men: Men's (3) Women: Women's (3) REGISTRATION Co-Rec: Co-Rec (3 - 2m/1w or 1m/2w) MINIMUM: This is a single elimination tournament event with the majority of games being played EVENT FORMAT: during the evenings of Sunday - Thursday The match will be played between 2 teams of 4 players. A minimum of 3 players are GAME FORMAT: needed to start a game. A regulation match consists of the best two out of three games.
