This unit is about carrying out specified rule-based transactions to support benefits processes. Scope This unit/task covers the following: Transactions:  enrolling employees on benefits programs  monitoring changes which affect benefits data  updating benefits master records with changes  executing benefits applications  coordinating benefits programs with suppliers Stakeholders:  employees in client organization  managers in client organization  benefits specialists in client organization  client account manager  suppliers of benefits programs Media:  telephone  e-mail  chat  post  face-to-face Appropriate people:  line manager  colleagues  subject matter experts Performance Criteria (PC) w.r.t. the Scope To be competent, you must be able to: PC1. establish the nature and extent of administrative support you are required to provide to processes PC2. carry out transactions as required, in line with your organization’s standards, rules and procedures and client-specific service level agreements (SLAs) PC3. respond to benefits queries referred from employee helpdesk in line with SLAs PC4. generate reports requested by stakeholders in standard formats PC5. communicate effectively with stakeholders using appropriate media PC6. obtain advice and guidance from appropriate people, where required 28
