Greetings family and friends! I am writing to inform you about a very exciting journey I'm about to embark on. This Summer a group from my church and I will be going down to Argentina on a mission trip. This is a mission trip that is focused on discipleship rather than service. From June 15-24 we will be working at a Brethren orphanage in Corral de Bustos. While we are there we plan on spending some time with fellow youth and doing some small service projects within the orphanage. Our main goal while we are down there is loving on the children from the orphanage. We would also like to encourage and bless the staff that work with these children on a daily basis. I feel that God has been preparing me for this mission trip for a while now. This will be my third mission trip, but my first one out of the country. For the past two summers I have served in Lost Creek, Kentucky at Riverside Christian School. It has been a blessing to be able to serve the Lord there. I also had the opportunity to serve at Camp Shipshewana as a Junior Counselor this past summer. I feel like God was using those experiences to prepare me for this trip to Argentina. I'm going to need a lot of partnership for this mission trip. The trip is going to cost around $2,400. This money will cover my flight to and from Argentina, my food, and lodging while down there. Although it is a lot of money, every penny will be worth it. Not only do I need financial partnership, I also need people to partner in prayer with me. I need prayer just as much as I need financial support for this trip. I would ask that you would be a prayer warrior for my team and I. Some prayer requests would be for safe travels, financial provisions, and many other things. The prayer list that came along with this letter can be used as a tool for you to pray for me. I would ask that you would be in prayer and ask God how you can partner with me. Whether that's financially, through prayer, or both. I am excited about the opportunity to serve and to minister to those in Argentina, and I ask you to join me in ministry. I am seeking your support and prayers for this mission trip.
