[email protected] SVP Fast Pitch Calls on Innovators: Win Investments, Grants and Training for Social Change Annual Pitch Competition Celebrates Five Years of Support for Local Change-Makers Seattle, WA – Social Venture Partners (SVP) invites social impact innovators across Greater Puget Sound to compete for funding and support through the fifth SVP Fast Pitch Seattle program – a competition that Bill Gates called “a clever way to connect early-stage nonprofits and social entrepreneurs with potential funders.” Applications open on May 20, 2015 and the SVP Fast Pitch Final Showdown will be October 27, 2015 at McCaw Hall, where we hope to award $375,000 - $125,000 in grants and $250,000 in investments. SVP Fast Pitch Seattle 2015 connects social innovators and entrepreneurs with business, philanthropic, and nonprofit leaders who want to help them amplify their impact. Through the five-month program, innovators hone their ideas and messages through workshops, pitch clinics, networking events and mentoring. At the same time, they build relationships with advisors, donors, investors and partners. “It’s all about the innovators,” said SVP Fast Pitch Event Lead Maureen O’Hara. “We want to ensure their success on multiple levels, providing access to training, partnerships, and, of course, funding.” The five-minute pitching competition culminates in a Final Showdown at McCaw Hall before a panel of celebrity judges and an audience of up to 1,000. “It’s five years of making a difference, five minutes at a time,” SVP Fast Pitch Seattle Founder Will Poole said. SVP Fast Pitch partners with innovators from five tracks: high school, college, established nonprofit, new nonprofit, and for profit. Visit bit.ly/svpfastpitch15 to apply. SVP Fast Pitch is generously supported by companies and organizations committed to entrepreneurial spirit and the Puget Sound region. Benefactor Sponsors: Microsoft and Outerwall.
