Prayer Calendar – July & August 2014 July 2014 1. WERTH - I have 2 meetings today where there is a potential for partnership, including with the outreach Pastor of a missions minded church that is considering being a sending church. 2. TEAM AUSTRIA - We each had our annual interviews with the Ministry Area Leadership Team (MALT = Dan, Chris, Rhonda) in mid-June. For that we evaluated this past year of life and ministry and worked on growth plans for the coming year. For each of us, there are significant questions where we need the Lord's wisdom as we move forward. Pray for His grace to help us persevere toward longer term goals and wisdom to know when unplanned opportunities are His priority for us instead. 3. HERZWERK - Please pray for the drop-in center that we have each Thursday afternoon. Sometimes women come to just hang out in a comfortable place and have a cup of coffee. At other times, they need help with one thing or another. Just in the past couple of weeks,we have had four women say that they want to leave, but have no place to go. Please continue to pray for a home where we can take the women in. (10., 17., 24, 31/August 7, 14, 21, 28) - could be repeated on any of these dates. 4. ZUCH / BEHEIMGASSE - The open air baptismal service on June 22 was great. There were also indications that God worked in the lives of guests who attended. Thanks for praying and please continue! 5. CHADWICK - Ian is co leading a workshop on small groups for the FEG (free/evangelical) churches in Bayern. Pray for good communication and conversation among the participants. 7.-9. ROGERS – pray for my time with the Chadwicks, in Augsburg, Germany, that we will make wise decisions regarding the remainder of their language studies. 7. FORMANEK - Rhonda will attend a gather of young adults in Vienna who were a part of the MissionNet conference over New Year's (European version of Urbana). Pray that she can encourage individuals as they seek to live for God's purposes in reaching those around them or planning to work in cross-cultural missions. 8. LUNDQUIST - Our women’s bi-weekly group is taking a break for the summer, but are meeting casually together today, also with the opportunity to invite other friends to a mid-day picnic. Pray that others would be able to attend, as well as have meaningful conversations. 9. LUNDQUIST / TEAM Seestadt - The core team for the church plant is taking a break for the summer, but will instead study 1 Timothy in a casual setting this summer (every Wednesday evening). Pray for a strong connection through the study and spiritual growth, both personally and collectively.

11. CHADWICK - Pray for a family that we invited to church. Pray for deepening relationships with them and open hearts to the gospel. 13. LUNDQUIST - Pray for Eric as he preaches at the Eisenstadt Evangelial Church (south of Vienna) this morning. He is finishing a four-part series on the life of Moses (others have preached the first three series). 15. HERZWERK - Thanks for praying for the Herzwerk retreat the middle of June. The speaker that we had is also a counselor and a very effective communicator. She talked a lot on-hand of the story of Mary and Martha about principles for ministry (things like ministering out of the over-flow of our relationship with God and learning to take a Sabbath). Some very important reminders for such an intense type ministry. Pray for our workers to find a keep a good balance in life and ministry. 17. ROGERS – pray for E. and S. from English that heard the Gospel at the last English class. Pray they would think about what was said. 19. CHADWICK - we are hosting an all American BBQ to mingle some of the friends that we have met outside of church with those in our church. We would love prayers for good connection. 20. LUNDQUIST - Pray for Eric as he preaches this morning at the Florisdsorf Evangelical Church. We are able to fill a lot of ‘holes’ in the summertime, and he is preaching, leading worship, or working with the technical team each Sunday this summer. 21. HERZWERK / WERTH - Malinda was able to come for a second visit for two weeks in June. We were very thankful for the good connection that she had with Austrians as well as the Herzwerk team. The relationship with her has deepened greatly this time around. The goal is that she will be able to come in January and begin with language school, but she is only at about 20% of her regular support. Please pray for her support needs. 23. ZUCH / BEHEIMGASSE BAPTIST CHURCH - Thank the Lord for the good discipleship group that Rachel has become a part of. She is very thankful for the things that she is learning. Dan and Rachel want to start a group in the fall with young adults that trains them in a discipleship setting to train others. 25. TIMOTHY NETWORK (Wright’s & Hammond’s) - Bob & Pat Wright from IL and Butch & Shirley Hammond from PA will bet traveling to the TEAM All-Europe Conference. Pray for meaningful conversations with the missionaries in Austria, Czech Republic & Spain as they seek to serve and encourage during their week in England. 26.-1. Aug. TEAM ALL-EUROPE Conference - Pray for safety for all the missionaries in Europe and various other people, who will be attending the All-Europe conference near Birmingham, England. Pray for refreshment and challenge through the time together with TEAM coworkers from all over Europe. 29. WERTH - My first niece will be delivered by C-section in Chicago! I will be traveling there for several days to help my brother and his family. Pray for a safe delivery and safe travels.

BEHEIMGASSE / FORMANEK - Pray for the transition of Roswitha as the team leader for the children's church ministry in the Beheimgasse. Pray for Rhonda to see how she can best support Roswitha in this new role. Pray for good prioritizing of gals for this ministry and wisdom to know how to encourage families to see the benefits of consistent attendance. 4. ZUCH / BEHEIMGASSE - Pray for the continued work on launching two worship services in the fall. 6. CHADWICK - we made the first announcement to our current group of supporters with our increased financial need in light of our move to Vienna next year. We are praying for that need to be met.

8. BEHEIMGASSE / FORMANEK - Rhonda is working with a young man in the church who is doing a small internship in children's ministry as part of his studies at EVAK (Die evangelikale Akademie). Pray for her to provide good guidance as he tries some new aspects in ministry. Ask the Lord to help him see his gifts and strengths more clearly and to be encouraged in investing his life in ministry. 10. TEAM AUSTRIA - We as a mission have applied to be a patron (leadership and financial support) for the Austrian Training Center - a one-year training program for Austrian young adults to be involved in church planting, evangelism and discipleship as lay leaders. Dan and Eric will be the TEAM representatives. Pray that our participation at this level would help the other leaders already involved in this effort. 12. FORMANEK - As part of the lay counseling course currently being taught in the church, the participants have been asked to seek out a partner or mentor with whom they can work through the material. One woman in the Beheimgasse has asked Rhonda to meet with her regularly for this purpose. Praise the Lord for the good basis in this friendship. Pray that Rhonda would have wisdom in the various personal topics that arise. 14. LIESING – pray as meetings are taking place to decide how the church will continue the outreach to children that was started through the weekend in the park in June. 16. CHADWICK - Jude's birthday. Please pray for steps in his spiritual growth and God's continual work to mold his heart for His purposes. 18. FORMANEK - Rhonda's next home assignment is six months away. Pray for the Lord to direct her steps - finishing this term well, planning for home assignment, discerning what the Lord has for her after home assignment. 20. ROGERS – pray for Chris and her future plans for ministry as well as her location. 22. LIESING – pray for several in the church that are dealing with major health issues – M. who has a lymph node tumor that needs to be removed, H. who has a pancreatic tumor that needs to be dealt with and S. who has heart problems. 26. LUNDQUIST - Next week is the start of school! Isaiah (almost 5!) will continue in Preschool, whereas Silas (6!) will start 1st grade, which is the start of elementary school here. Pray for Silas as he anticipates and looks forward to the start of school, and that his ‘fear-factor’ would remain low. 
