Prayer Calendar – October 2015 1. ZUCH/Herzwerk – Please pray for the Herzwerk team as we are looking at the possibility of a transitional home for our women. We learned about the building’s availability about a month ago. The two most important factors of course are the funding for a house and the workers. Within two days of learning about the building, I was placed in contact with a foundation and a couple contacted us about the possibility of being residential facilitators. We don’t know if either of things will work out, but we are praying for the Lord’s mind and direction. 2. WRIGHTS / TEAM AUSTRIA – Pray for the missionaries in Austria as they meet with Bob & Pat Wright this week, for times of encouragement in their roles of member care. 3. BEHEIMGASSE CHURCH – Members of the Beheimgasse are involved in helping in the refugee crisis currently taking place in Europe, and we are checking into what long-term, sustainable help can look like. Pray for this unprecedented opportunity to reach out with the love and message of Christ. 4. FORMANEK - Pray for Rhonda’s father who has had some significant medical problems since early August. Pray for him to gain physical and spiritual strength in these days. Thank the Lord for the good care he has received and is getting from Rhonda’s brothers and their wives who live nearby. 5. ROGERS - Pray for Chris as she goes on a prayer walk in her neighborhood. Pray she would be alert to opportunities to get to know people around her. 6. LUNDQUIST – Eric has had a 3DM discipleship group the last 15 months or so. One young man that has been in his group has also battled cancer. This young man, M., died last month, leaving behind a young wife and twin three-year old boys. Pray for Eric’s discipleship group as they work through the loss and pain associated with M. having been in his group. 7. ROGERS – please pray for Ruth, an older woman in the Liesing church. Her son recently passed away and it has been very difficult for her. Ruth is almost 90 and not in the best of health. ZUCH/Beheimgasse – Thank the Lord for the authenticity and the really good, deep discussions in Rachel’s weekly discipleship group. I’m very thankful for the good steps that the girls are taking as they understand more and more their true identity in Christ. 8. LUNDQUIST – Thank you for your prayers for Melissa’s visa! She was able to pick it up late-September, and received another 5-year visa! 9. BEHEIMGASSE - Ask God to direct the steps of the pastoral search committee for the Beheimgasse Church and to bring the person of His choice to become the next pastor. Pray for the church’s own preparation to receive, accept and work well with the next person in this important role.

TEAM AUSTRIA – Pray that God would use the discipleship taster day, presented by 3DM and hosted at the Beheimgasse Church, to motivate people to become part of discipleship groups that will in turn bring multiplication. 11. LUNDQUIST / LAKESIDE CHURCH – Pray for Melissa as she leads the Bible lesson for the kids this morning at Lakeside Church. The lesson is on Jacob & Esau. 12. ROGERS – Pray for Chris as she gets together with E., someone in need of encouragement. 13. LUNDQUIST / LAKESIDE CHURCH – Pray for Melissa as she leads a women’s Bible study through chapter 11 of “Calm My Anxious Heart” by Linda Dillow. 14. ZUCH/Beheimgasse – Dan’s Bible study group begins again today. Between now and Christmas we will be having an overview of the main themes of the Bible. Pray for a hunger to go deeper, including into life applications. ZUCH/Herzwerk – Pray for our board as we meet this evening. Pray for wisdom and God’s direction. 15. LUNDQUIST – Thank you for your prayers for the start of the school year. Silas is enjoying math and cursive writing this year, and is growing in what he is learning in reading and writing. He still has a hard time in his class, as several kids are disruptive. 16. ZUCH – Pray for Rachel as she continues her training this weekend in Germany for working with people who have been traumatized. 17. FORMANEK - Ask the Lord to lead in the conversations and decisions about the specifics for Rhonda’s job description for the year(s). Pray for wisdom and clarity in what responsibilities to take on (or not). 18. FREEDOM SUNDAY – Pray for churches internationally that will be using the opportunity on this Sunday to cast light on those who have been and are being trafficked around the world. Pray for righteousness and justice! 19. FORMANEK - Pray for grace for Rhonda as she says goodbyes to church friends and family. She flies on the 20th, landing in Vienna on the 21st. 20. ROGERS – Pray for the Nordpool team as they seek to dialogue with already existing churches on working together to reach people for Christ. 21. FORMANEK - Pray for Rhonda to recover quickly from jet lag and to know the Lord’s grace and strength for the transitions back in to life and ministry in Vienna. 22. LUNDQUIST – Isaiah’s 6th Birthday! 23. FORMANEK - Ask the Lord for a good chance for Rhonda to connect with her neighbor M. and her family. Pray for winsomeness and boldness to talk about Jesus in very natural ways. 24. ZUCH/FORMANEK/Beheimgasse – Pray for Rhonda, Rachel and Dan as we look into the possibility of new discipleship training groups with a focus mainly on leaders in the church, who can then use the principles learned in their own groups or ministry areas 25. LUNDQUIST – Pray for Eric as he preaches this morning at Lakeside, as part of the study of Bible Heroes. He’ll be speaking on the life of Sarah. 27. ROGERS - Pray for the Nordpool team as they make plans for the Advent season. 28. LUNDQUIST – Pray for the initial home assignment preparations, such as securing airfare tickets, housing and cars to borrow. They will be in the States February through August 2016! 29. FORMANEK / ZUCH / BEHEIMGASSE - Pray for the small discipleship task force in the church reading 3DM materials and discussing the bigger picture of discipleship in the church. Pray for good coordination between Austrian church leaders, us missionaries and this task force.
