Dear Members and Friends, We are pleased to announce that St. Stephen’s is now prepared to offer Christian education for children every Sunday for the first time in several years! We will be following a curriculum titled “Weaving God’s

Promises” that will teach our children both about the stories of Holy Scripture and the richness of our Episcopal liturgical tradition. Tea Time Committee Meeting
The primary reason we are able to begin to offer a more robust and consistent educational offering for our youngest members is that we have assembled a larger group of volunteers. We are so grateful for those of you who have already stepped forward and would welcome others. I believe it is hugely important for our children’s spiritual lives to have supportive adult relationships in a congregation other than their parents. These intergenerational relationships are a great gift of being raised in a Christian community. We will have a meeting in the church, following our 11:00am service of worship on January 14th, for all those in the parish willing to help with our

There will be a short informational meeting in Stephen's Hall for 2018 Tea Time Hosts, Parishioners, and Guests this Sunday after the 11am worship service. The Host signup calendar will be posted and volunteer hosts are welcome and encouraged to choose a Sunday to host Tea Time. Individuals, Groups, and special events are all welcome to host. Hosted Tea Times will be scheduled two Sundays per month. Please volunteer for the hosted Tea Times initially. The scheduled hosted Tea Times will

church school. At this meeting we will discuss teaching teams and the curriculum. Our goal is to have a team of two teachers leading our church school classes each week. The more volunteers, the easier this will be on each volunteer. Please join us if you are interested in volunteering and let us know if it would be helpful to have us provide childcare for the meeting. We will commission our new team of church school teachers at our annual meeting on January 21st. Yours in Christ,

Call for Child and Youth Acolytes If your child or youth would be interested in being trained to vest and serve on a Sunday morning as a gospel book bearer or, for older youth as a crucifer, please contact our Rector by clicking HERE.
Lay Pastoral Care Team Forming The rector is interested in reconstituting a lay pastoral care team. This would consist of a group of parishioners assigned to take the sacrament of Holy Communion out to one home bound or infirmed parishioner on a monthly basis as an incarnate sign of the love and prayers of the congregation.
Interested in Baptism? If you are interested in baptism for you or someone you love, please speak with the Rector. The following occasions are especially appropriate for baptism: The Baptism of our Lord (the First Sunday after the Epiphany), the Easter Vigil or Easter Sunday, Pentecost, and All Saints Sunday. Typically, three preparatory sessions are required including the rehearsal with the godparents.
Please email Adam+ by clicking HERE if you would be interested in volunteering for this vitally important ministry.
Happy Birthday
Blankets, Blankets, Blankets! Thanks to all who contributed to the "Warm in Winter" blanket endeavor. It was a huge success. Imagine those little ones just so cozy in last week's frigid weather.

2018 Foyer Groups Foyer Groups bring together those members of the parish who may or may not know each other, or perhaps know each other very casually. These groups are a gathering of parishioners, some new, some fairly "seasoned," and some simply new to the Foyer Group idea – all together for conversation, good food, and a delightful evening with friends. We are beginning to take names for 2018 Foyer Groups. Please contact Bobby Shealy, Ken Dilks, John Burrus or Zeh Wellington by January 15 if you would like to join a group. You can also sign up after the 11am
