We have been very busy finishing up the 14 different Fall/ Winter Clubs and block-of-themonth quilting and embroidery projects. I know many of you gave gorgeous gifts for Christmas and may be enjoying a much needed break!! While you are taking the time to catch up on UFO’s, we are busy, busy, busy!!! Not just working on all of our new Spring/Summer classes we are also planning weddings!! Jared and Crystal are getting married in October and Brianna and Robert got engaged over Christmas but have not yet set a date. Both of the kids are waiting for Jordan to come home. He will have his 6 years in the Navy up in October and will be coming home for good. We are all so excited!!
In the meantime… look through the new things we have planned to spark your interest until the new series begin. We have several single day classes. Thelma is teaching a gorgeous wallhanging project. Fusible appliqué... super simple. She is also teaching a Judy Niemeyer class (paper piecing) for those of you that have been asking. Cindi has an EQ class, offered two different times and an amazing guest artist coming to teach you how to water color on fabric!! All supplies will be provided including the embroidered block you will watercolor!! This is a must-take class!! Stay safe on the roads - get everything finished up - organize your sewing studio - and don’t forget to come in and check out the Power Quilter which is perfect for quilting in a small space!!!!!

Color Challenge Event!! Big Prizes!!!! We have been hosting challenges for years in our clubs. Fabric challenges, panel challenges and more. In October we decided to open it up to everyone! And offer big prizes for the winners! To play, you will have to purchase a fat quarter cotton or batik “color tower” from us (it is the 24 colors of the color wheel) and fill out the registration (on the website). The tower cost is only $59 ($66 value) for cotton and $72 ($78 value) for the batik. Extra bolts are in the classroom. Quilters will have until February 19th to finish their completed quilts. They must be a minimum of 24” x 24” and use at least 12 of the colors provided. Make anything you would like. Winners will be hung in the classroom for two weeks, then pictures posted on our website gallery. Prizes: 1st Place: gift basket valued at $500 and a $500 Fabric Patch gift card. 2nd Place: gift basket valued at $250 and a $250 Fabric Patch gift card. 3rd Place: gift basket valued at $100 and a $100 Fabric Patch gift card.

Classes/Current Clubs: We are just finishing up the winter clubs and blocks-of-the-month. February is a relatively quiet month - a perfect time to get everything finished up so you are ready to begin with new projects after attending next months BOM Open House!! Pincushion Club is open to all. Each individual class is $14.99 and includes the class, pattern and kit to make the featured pincushion of the month! Class size limited to 14. We are offering our first EQ software class “Do you EQ?”. It will be offered during the day in February and again in March in the evening. Sign up for whichever class is most convenient for your time schedule. See description on the next page.
Thelma has a fun classes this month, Trout Lake is a beautiful wallhanging. Easy to complete using simple fusible web technique. Only $18, includes pattern. Mel is teaching the Umbrella class this month. This is a repeat class. She had a lot of fun in this class in November and would love to teach you how to make this fabulous project… quick, easy and stylish!! This is a unique gift that can be made for an adult or a child from fun fabric, treated with rain guard. You will leave with your umbrella completed. Umbrella frame required for class. $10.

Spring/Summer Open House for BOM/Club/Classes Cindi, Brianna and Thelma are busy working on 14 different samples for our new Summer schedule. We have given you a few months off to finish up those winter projects, but now it’s time to start on some new pieces!! We have found a great selection of fabulous projects in hand embroidery, wool, fusible appliqué, machine embroidery, and pieced quilting. Every style of quilting is represented at least once. You will want to come in to see the new classes (some will begin the end of March) and select your favorites before the classes fill up. We will be showing Bertie’s Year, Dog Park, Majestic Wildlife, Christmas Traditions, Magic of Winter, 3d Garden, and many more!!We will have a gift bag for each attendee and our usual gift packages for class sign ups….. we have a great thread package we are giving to the machine embroidery club attendees, a nice notion kit for the “Dog Park” quilt (new McKenna Ryan) and special savings on all of the monthly fabric kits. Stop in to the classroom between 10 and 4 on Saturday March 15th which coincidentally…. is National Quilting Day…. boom!

We have had several requests for another Judy Niemeyer Class. Thelma is excited to offer this again. You can choose any pattern you’d like, but she is suggesting the Woven Blanket or Stepping Stones for beginning paperpiecers. These two (pictured on the front page) use a bali pop and a background. No pre -cutting required. Class size limited to 10. Lunch provided. Come in at least two weeks prior to class to meet with Thelma, Cindi, or Brianna to get your pattern organized and any precutting accomplished. This is a great project!!!
