THE FIRECRACKER BASEBALL TOURNAMENT “Helping Kids Help Other Kids”
To Whom It May Concern, Will you help us raise funds for kids in our area diagnosed with life threatening medical conditions? Each year Make-A-Wish® grants more than wishes in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. We are proud to connect with their heartwarming mission to help them grant more wishes this year. Oce again this summer the North Columbus Sports Raiders travel program will host 36 youth baseball teams in a tournament from ages 9 to 14 year old players which will teach them to “Pay Forward” as Woody Hayes would say and make a difference for someone their own age. Over the past six years the Firecracker Tournament players, coaches, parents and fans have raised over $140,000 in donations to sponsor local kids dream wishes become a reality. Money raised by the tournament will be presented to Make-A-Wish® to fund future wishes. To the left are some of our past “Wish Champions” who had their dream wishes come true by the Firecracker Tournament. From sending Sam to Disney, Charlie to Yosemite National Park, Tyler to the 2012 World Series, Cody to the San Diego Zoo, Colton to Pearl Harbor, Brock to meet the Reds and his favorite player Brandon Phillips and Aaron to swim at Atlantis in the Bahamas, all of the families memories are everlasting. With your help you can “Help Kids Help Other Kids” to believe that dreams do come true and they can help make that happen.
