Fabric A- Fish & Rocks – Lt. Blue 9749-0719 3/4 yard Cut (2) 10 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (6) 10 ½” squares. Fabric B- Tonal – Lt. Blue 9754-0750 1/3 yard Cut (6) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (24) 1 ½” x 10 ½” strips. Fabric C- Scales – Multi 9752-0750 Cut (1) 4 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (4) 4 ½” squares. Cut (1) 1 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (24) 1 ½” squares. Cut (6) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding.

Fabric D- Swimming Fish – Lt. Blue See instructions to cut (6) circles.

Fabric E- Seaweed – Dk. Blue 9751-0115 Cut (1) 6 ½” x WOF strip. Sub-cut the strip into (6) 6 ½” squares.

Fabric F- Tonal – Violet 9754-0135 Cut (4) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (24) 2” x 6 ½” strips.

Fabric G- Tonal – Lt. Blue 9754-0722 2/3 yards Cut (6) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (24) 2” x 9 ½” strips. Cut (3) 1 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 1 ½” x 51 ½” strips. Cut (2) 1 ½” x 41 ½” WOF strips. Fabric H- Tonal – Green 9754-0114 Cut (2) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (24) 2” squares.

Fabric I- Bubbles – Green 9753-0114 1/2 yard Cut (2) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut the strips into (24) 2” squares. Cut (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 48 ½” strips. Cut (2) 2” x 39 ½” WOF strips. Fabric J- Swimming Fish – Dk. Blue 9750-0748 1 2/3 yards Cut (2) 4 ½” x 53 ½” LOF strips. Cut (2) 4 ½” x 41 ½” WOF strips from the remaining fabric, piece as needed. Backing- Seaweed – Lt. Blue 9751-0154 3 1/4 yards Cut (2) 57” x WOF strips. Sew together and trim to make (1) 57” x 69” back. *Includes binding. Block Assembly 1. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric B strip to each side of (1) 10 ½” Fabric A square. Sew (1) 1 ½” Fabric C square to each end of (1) 1 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric B strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A square to make (1) Block. One (Fig. 1). Repeat to make (6) Block Ones total. 2. Following the manufacturer’s instructions, trace the listed number of each template onto the paper side of the fusible web. Roughly cut out each template about 1/8” outside the drawn lines. 3. Press each template onto the wrong side of the fabrics as listed on the templates. Cut out each template on the drawn lines. 4. Refer to Figure 2 to arrange and press (1) Fabric D circle onto (1) 6 ½” Fabric E square. 5. Finish the raw edges of each shape with a decorative stitch such as a buttonhole or satin stitch to make (1 E Block. MARCUS FABRICS

Repeat Steps 4-5 to make (6) E Blocks total. Sew (1) 2” x 6 ½” Fabric F strip to each side of (1) E Block. Sew (1) 2” Fabric I square to each end of (1) 2” x 6 ½” Fabric F strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the E Block (Fig. 3). Sew (1) 2” x 9 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the E Block. Sew (1) 2” Fabric H square to each end of (1) 2” x 9 ½” Fabric G strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the E Block to make (1) Block Two (Fig. 4). Repeat Steps 7-8 to make (6) Block Twos total.

Quilt Assembly (refer to the quilt layout while assembling the quilt top) 10. Sew (1) Block One to each side of (1) Block Two to make Row One. Repeat to make Row Three. 11. Sew (1) Block Two to each side of (1) Block One to make Row Two. Repeat to make Row Four. 12. Sew the (4) rows together, in numerical order, to make the Center Block. 13. Sew (1) 2” x 48 ½” Fabric I strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2” x 39 ½” Fabric I strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block. 14. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 51 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 41 ½” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block. 15. Sew (1) 4 ½” x 53 ½” Fabric J strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 4 ½” Fabric C square to each end of (1) 4 ½” x 41 ½” Fabric J strip. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block to make the quilt top. 16. Layer and quilt as desired. 17. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric C strips together, end to end with 45° seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half, lengthwise with wrong sides together, and press. 18. Bind as desired.
