In this year’s competition, there were changes. Australia topped the table, New Zealand lost one game to Australia and finished second while Argentina won a match for the second year running, this time beating South Africa. Despite their one defeat however, New Zealand continue to dominate the event. The following table shows that over the four-year period, New Zealand
won 18 of 21 matches won 14 of those 18 matches by 10 or more points were the best attacking team scoring 30 per cent more tries than their nearest rival were the best defensive team with each their opponents conceding almost 50 per cent more tries
